On this day some 2000 plus years ago, in a small stable a baby was born. This baby would grow up to become a man, hated and despised by the world. This man would pay the ultimate sacrifice, dying on a cross for you and for me.
So as today we celebrate Christmas and we think about the events that have happened over this past year. Events such as the war in Afghanistan, the civil war in Syria and the recent shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
In all this, may we experience the joy of the birth of Christ and the hope the He came to give us. From my wife, Michelle, our 2 daughters and myself, we wish you a safe and Happy Christmas.
