Steve Jobs – February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011

On Wednesday 5th October, Apple chairman and former CEO, Steve Jobs lost his fight with pancreatic cancer.

Steve Jobs was a visionary and changed the way we live and communicate daily. From the first Apple computer to the new iPhone 4S released this week, you can’t escape Steve’s insight and drive to change the way we live with technology.

Apple’s board of directors put out a statement confirming Jobs’ passing at 10.34 am Australian eastern daylight savings time.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” the note said. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

“His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

Steve left behind a great legacy and will missed by all.
